SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel sophomore Turtogtokh Luvsandorj has been named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for all competitions from December 15 - January 4.

Luvsandorj sported a 9-1 record in his last two competitions in December. In the SoCon opening dual, the 165 pounder downed Davidson's Tyler Mullen, 3-2, to guide the Bulldogs to a win.

In the prestigious Southern Scuffle, Luvsandorj placed third at 165 pounds, going 8-1 and defeating two nationally ranked opponents, including a 4-3 decision over No. 5 Paul Gillespie of Hofstra in the third-place match. He also downed No. 26 Thomas Scotton of North Carolina and pinned Utah Valley's Jeb Clark along the way to improve his season record to 23-4.

With the two wins over ranked opponents, the sophomore has now topped five ranked opponents this season and has climbed into the top-10 in several national rankings.
