Samford vs. UNCG
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford's women's basketball game against UNC Greensboro, originally scheduled for Monday at 12 p.m., has been postponed due to the winter storm in the Birmingham area. When a makeup date is set, it will be posted on www.samfordsports.com.
The game matches two of the top teams in the Southern Conference. UNCG is in first place in the league with a 5-1 SoCon record (8-6 overall), while Samford stands in third with a 4-2 league mark (11-4 overall).
Western Carolina vs. Wofford
CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Western Carolina women's basketball game scheduled for Monday in the Ramsey Center, with Wofford, has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
The match-up between the Catamounts and the Terriers will be rescheduled for a date yet determined. Check back on catamountsports.com for all the updates.
Western Carolina will be back in action on Friday when the Catamounts travel to Statesboro, Ga. to take on Georgia Southern. WCU is riding a two-game winning streak, matching its longest winning streak of the season, with back-to-back wins against Davidson and College of Charleston.
Davidson vs. Furman
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Monday's Furman-Davidson women's basketball game, scheduled to be played at Timmons Arena, has been postponed due to the snowstorm that sruck the region early Monday morning, Furman athletics director Gary Clark has announced.
A makeup date has yet to be determined.
Furman (6-8, 2-3 SoCon) will return to action on Friday at Elon in a 7:00 p.m. game.
Chattanooga vs. Elon
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Due to impending weather conditions in Chattanooga, Tenn. and throughout the region, the women's basketball game between Elon University and the Chattanooga Lady Mocs scheduled for Monday, Jan. 10, has been moved up to 3 p.m. Originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip, the game will now start at 3 p.m. inside McKenzie Arena.
Appalachian State vs. Georgia Southern
STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Women's Basketball game against Appalachian State will tip off at 5 p.m. today (Monday) at Hanner Fieldhouse with ticket windows opening at 4 p.m. The game was originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
