SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Davidson senior forward Yannick Pilgrim has been chosen as the Southern Conference men's soccer player of the week for all matches from September 1-5.

Pilgrim tallied six points during the opening weekend of play with two goals and a pair of assists as Davidson claimed the championship at the Davidson adidas Classic.

The senior assisted on the first goal and the scored the Wildcats' second and third goals in a 6-1 rout of Marist on Friday. Pilgrim assisted on Alex Caskey's goal to open the scoring against Bowling Green Sunday afternoon as Davidson played the Falcons to a 2-2 draw.

For his efforts, Pilgrim was named to Davidson adidas Classic All-Tournament team.

Other Nominees: Witt Carlisle (Georgia Southern), Chad Dalton (Appalachian State), Kees Heemskerk (College of Charleston) and Eli Garner (UNCG).
