SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel junior midfielder Amy Loughran has been chosen as the Southern Conference women's soccer player of the week for all matches from September 13-19.

Loughran tallied four goals in two matches last weekend, including a hat trick in the Bulldogs' 4-1 win over Charleston Southern. She began the week by providing one of The Citadel's four scores in a 4-1 defeat of South Carolina State.

For the season, Loughran is tied for the Southern Conference lead with five goals while leading the Bulldogs to a 4-3-1 mark. SoCon play begins this weekend with The Citadel visiting Western Carolina Friday evening at 7 p.m. and Appalachian State Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
