BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University head women's golf coach Heather Brown announced the fall 2010 schedule on Tuesday. Defending Southern Conference medalist Yue Xu begins her sophomore campaign as the leader of one of the deepest Mountaineer rosters in recent memory with a four tournament slate this semester.

The Mountaineers make their anticipated 2010-11 debut at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate in Waynesville, N.C. on September 18-19. At last year's rain-shortened event, Brooke DeHart and Mimi Burke led the Apps with a one-round score of 78 (+6).

The squad heads to Sunset Beach, N.C. the following weekend for the Sea Trail Intercollegiate (Sept. 24-26). The Apps took home sixth place last season over the three-day tournament. Kerri Dice tied for 12th to lead ASU.

Appalachian returns to the Boscobel Intercollegiate in Pendleton, S.C. on October 9-10, where Brown's squad finished third in 2009. DeHart carded rounds of 78 and 76 (+10) to tie for fifth place to pace the Black and Gold.

The final tournament of the fall is the Wendy's Charleston Southern Intercollegiate on Oct. 18-19 in Charleston, S.C. Coastal Carolina took home last year's team title at the event in a field that included the SoCon's College of Charleston and The Citadel.

This year's SoCon Tournament is scheduled for April 17-19 at Hilton Head, S.C. and Moss Creek Golf Club.
