A senior shortstop from Norcross, Ga., Iduate went 7-for-10 as Georgia Southern completed a three-game sweep of Elon. She tallied a double, three RBIs and did not strike out in 10 appearances at the plate. Iduate also scored four runs.

In game one Iduate hit .500 with two RBI as the Eagles edged the Phoenix 3-2. She followed that performance with a perfect 5-for-5 outing in game two while adding an RBI and scoring three times. Georgia Southern won 14-9. In the Eagles' 7-4 win on Sunday, Iduate went 1-for-3 with a run.

Barrs, a senior from Harrisburg, N.C., earned two of Samford's three victories last week and posted a 0.60 ERA. She allowed just nine hits and one earned run in 11.2 innings of work while fanning two batters.

In Samford's 9-0 win at Western Carolina Saturday, Barrs pitched five innings, giving up four hits and no earned runs. She returned Sunday and allowed five hits and one earned run in six innings. The Bulldogs won 9-1 and captured their first series sweep of the season.

The right hander also appeared at the plate in all four of Samford's games last week, recording three hits and three RBIs. She also scored three runs.

The Eagles return to action Sunday as they end the regular season with a three-game series at Furman. The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season with a three-game series against UNC Greensboro that starts Saturday.

Also receiving nominations for player of the week were College of Charleston's Amber Shifflett, UNC Greensboro's Brittany Ausley, Samford's Katie England and Chattanooga's Jessica Traxler.
