Opening Statement... “Great start. Great job offensively and really a good job for five innings and a poor job for the last four. We came out well, which was kind of the biggest thing for us today. Taking an emotional loss last night and having to turn around on a quick turnaround today for a day game was tough, and these kids responded. It was great to see the start that we had.”
On tomorrow... “We took a starter out after the fifth so that hopefully he can throw down the road for us if we get the opportunity. It almost came back to bite us in the tail, but if we can figure out a way to extend and get to Saturday, we’ll at least have one of our better guys available.”
On Furman... “That was a scrappy little group across the way today. They found a way to put some balls in playing in the right places and almost got us.”

On his performance... “Today we were facing elimination and I just want to do whatever I can to help our team win. Hitting those homeruns today helped us out early, and that was the biggest part to kind of boost our team.
On his at-bat in the 7th inning... “Naturally, I was up there wanting to hit it. Patience is something I sometimes struggle with?I like swinging, but that was big. I was happy I was able to lay off of some of those [pitches].

"Obviously Daniel Stallsmith didn't have his best stuff today, so we had to get him out of there. It's pretty tough to battle back from 10 down, but I thought our young guys showed a lot of character and grit to do that and make it a game. We had opportunities in each of the last four innings and converted a few, just not enough."
