Game 4: Elon 1, Samford 0

Elon

Head Coach Mike Kennedy

"The past eight to nine weeks, Jimmy's been that good just about every time out; maybe not that good, that's about as good as I've seen him. He's been on a roll. He's got great stuff, a lot of confidence going right now.  That is probably as good as I've seen him on this stage, no doubt about it.  Every pitch was meaningful.  Give him credit, he was outstanding."

Samford

Head Coach Casey Dunn

“These were two great efforts by two outstanding college pitchers. They took advantage of an opportunity there at the end. There were a lot of hard-hit balls, both ways and this was a great defensive game for both teams. It was just one of those things where it came down to kind of a fluke play and they were on the positive side of it.”
