Cougars Finish 15th at Bryan Park Collegiate
Browns Summitt, N.C. - The College of Charleston shot a 303 in the third round to total a 914 in 54 holes and finish 15th at the Bryan National Collegiate held April 2-4 at the Bryan Park Golf Club in Browns Summitt, N.C. #30 Florida State edged #10 Wake Forest by ones stroke for the title, finishing with an 873. Four teams tied for third, 12 strokes behind second.
Demon Deacon Cheyenne Woods earned individual medalist honors with a 211 after firing a 72 in the third round. Tennessee's Nathalie Mansson shot a 70 to jump from fifth to second after the final day with a 213.
Vanessa Koechli (Greer, S.C.) tied for 30th to lead the Cougars after shooting a 73 in the final 18 holes to total a 224. Leigh Whittaker's (Baden- Baden, Germany) par-72 in the third gave her a tie for 38th with a 226, while Katharina Boehm (Poing, Germany) tied for 67th with a 233. Ainhoa Nogales (Pozuelo de Alarcon, Spain) tied for 75th with a 236 and tied for 79th was Emily Rapp (Simpsonville, S.C.) with a 237.
Of the 18 teams competing 14 are ranked in the top 40 in the nation, including #2 Auburn, which finished 12th with a 903.
The Cougars completed the regular season and next compete in the Southern Conference Championship being held April 18-20 in Hilton Head, S.C.

UNCG finishes 16th, Florida State wins Bryan National Collegiate
GREENSBORO, N.C. ? Florida State carded a final round 294 to hold off Wake Forest and win the team title at the Bryan National Collegiate at the Players Course at Bryan Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Seminoles finished with a tournament total of 873, one shot ahead of Wake Forest, which shot an identical 294 on Sunday. Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Duke all tied for third at 886, 13 shots off of the pace. UNCG carded a round of 317 on Sunday to finish in 16th place. The Spartans had a tournament total of 924.
Cheyenne Woods, neice of PGA star Tiger Woods, won the individual title. She shot a final round 72 to hold on for a two- shot win at 211 over late-charging Nathalie Mansson of Tennessee. Mansson, shot a final round 70 to rally from a pack, but could not muster one last charge from two shots down as she shot par on her last three holes. Virginia’s Brittany Altomare and Duke’s Lindy Duncan tied for third at 214.
UNCG’s top finisher was Courtney Taylor, who tied for 38t h place at 226 after a final round 77.
