A freshman from Laurens, S.C., McArthur broke the school record in the triple jump for the second time this season. After setting the record on March 12, McArthur bested that mark at the Raleigh Relays Saturday. Her leap of 39' 5" improved upon her previous mark by more than one foot. She currently leads the league in the event. McArthur also registered a time of 14:42 in the 100m hurdles.   

Neal, a junior from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., took second place in the 1500m with a time of 4:33 at the Alabama Relays. She also ran the mile leg of the distance medley relay, registering a time of 4:50. The Bulldogs took second place in the event.

The Cougars return to action Friday when they compete at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. The Bulldogs travel to Gainesville, Fla., for the Florida Relays on Saturday.

Other top track performers included:

Appalachian State's Stephanie Chapman, a sophomore from Asheville, N.C., who finished second in the steeplechase at the Weems Baskin Relays in Columbia, S.C., with a personal best time of 11:45. Her mark moved her into seventh place all-time at Appalachian State and currently ranks second in the league.

The Citadel's Sarah Strickland, a redshirt senior from Belton, S.C., who took fourth place in the 1500m at the Military Track & Field Championships in Lexington, Va., with a time of 4:50.51. The time improved her personal best by two seconds and ranks second in school history.

Elon's Allyson Costa, a sophomore from Hamden, Conn., who ran a personal best time of 37:00.55 in the 10K at the Raleigh Relays. She bested the previous school record by a minute and a half and currently leads the conference.
