Opening statement ... "I applaud coach (Buzz) Peterson and the Mountaineers, class group, those seniors  (Ryann) Abraham, Josh Hunter, and Kellen Brand. They represented our league well. They fought hard, what a good basketball game. We got into them early on. To hold App State, the best offensive team in our league, bar none, and to hold them to 18 first-half points is beyond comprehension. Cameron Rundles' play on Brand. It's never been about (Noah) Dahlman, Rundles, or (Junior) Salters; it's always been about our team. They are selfless people and just tough people. I'm thrilled beyond belief and looking forward to what lies ahead."

On positioning ... "We thought if we could corral those guys and keep it tough on them, to have 10 eyes on them at all times, that we would be OK. We stumbled them up. We are so deep; we have fresh bodies coming in, Jamar Diggs starting Donald Sims rotating me on him and Brad Loesing. Positioning is key. Tim Johnson, I think, is the best at it. He corrals guys and guards, he can guard anybody and he can get down there and get the rebound."

Junior Forward Noah Dahlman

On Wofford's early run ... "We always talked about making the first punch. That was the emphasis going into this game. We took it to them from the start and set the tone for the game. It was something they couldn't recover from coming down the stretch, that first big run of ours. Tribute to the guards for the intense job that they did. ... Hopefully it continues into the tournament."

Head Coach Buzz Peterson
Opening statement ... "Hats off to Wofford. They just did a really good job of taking us out of everything we wanted to do offensively and knocked us off our cut. We couldn't get by them on dribble penetration. They did one heck of a job on the defensive end. We are a better ballclub than we were when we faced them in December. Like I told Mike (Young), go win one for the league for us. They are playing well enough right now to do that. My hat's off to them for a fabulous year. They are a very good basketball team."

On tonight's game ... "I was hoping we would build off last night and continue to explode like we did last night. You do have to give Wofford credit when Donald (Sims) and Kellen Brand go 2-for-23 those are two guys who have led us a lot this year so we were going to struggle when those two guys shoot that. It's going to be a physical game and I kept telling my guys it was going to be physical. You are going to have to adjust your game to that situation. I'm happy for these young men and I'm very proud of them. We just couldn't get over that hump."

On Wofford's defense ... "They were very good defensively and real physical. They made it tough on myself and my teammates. The credit goes to their defense because they played some good, physical defense. They punched us in the mouth, so to speak, and it was tough on us to respond."

Sophomore forward Andre Wiilliamson

 On his role on the team..."First of all, I'd like to give God the glory for our season and how we finished. I just do what we can for our team. I know we have scorers. I come out and try to rebound and block shots. I pride myself on my defense. It took us a while to realize they came out and wanted it more than us. We were frustrated in the beginning and it affected the way we responded in the second half. We came out and kind of got ourselves on our feet in the second half but it was a little too late."
