Head Coach Wes Moore
Opening statement ... "The first half went real well. The second half was kind of ugly. We need to take better care of the ball; we had way too many turnovers. We did a pretty good job on the boards and I feel like that's the most important thing right now, is trying to control that on both ends. New venue, first game over here, we had a day off yesterday, so hopefully we got some of the turnovers and things like that out of the way and tomorrow we'll settle down and play Chattanooga basketball."

On the status of Megan Rollins, who injured her finger in the first half ... "It's not good. We were hoping it was just dislocated, but it appears there's a fracture, also. We've been through a lot of injuries this year, and that's a tough one, obviously, a senior that's started for us and has been a steadying force and a leader for our young kids. It's not good news, but this time of year, you've just got to keep plugging."

On the steadying force of Jenaya Wade-Fray and Shanara Hollinquest ... "First half, I thought Shanara was the one that really gave us a stabilizing influence and she made good decisions on the passes out, and when she did get the one-on-ones, she was making things happen. And then Jenaya in the second half, I was proud of her. She struggled, 1-for-6 in the first half, things weren't going well for her. She showed some maturity and bounced back and made some plays, got to the rim, finished, got some rebounds for us. She had a double-double, and that's impressive. I don't know if a freshman could do that, so it was nice having a senior step up."

Freshman Forward Michelle Davis
On being the early spark in her first SoCon tournament ... "I just kind of feed off the players. This is my first time, and I was extremely, extremely nervous. I just kind of let the game come to me. The players, it's all them. I just feed off them."

Senior Forward Shanara Hollinquest
On handling the double teams vs. one-on-one defense ... "I've been seeing double teams all year, so I just had to calm down, relax, share the ball and look for the open person. And when they played the one-on-one, it's attack time."

On what she and fellow senior Jenaya Wade-Fray said to the team when GSU rallied ... "We mostly told them just to keep our heads up. Everybody makes runs. We just have to take the blow as it comes, and we did. We kept it going."

Georgia Southern Lady Eagles

Opening statement ... "It's a tough loss. It's always tough to lose, and this time of the year, you work so hard to get here and then you give it away. But when you play someone like Chattanooga, you know you have to play your best ballgame. We had goals we knew we had to do and I thought we did better in the second half, but I thought the first half was the difference in the ballgame. My hat is off to UTC. They make you play a game you don't want to play, and unfortunately, we did that the first half. We just weren't able to finish it."

On the team's performance ... "It wasn't a lack of effort. I think we came out and got off to a pretty good start the just few minutes but you knew that would just be temporary because Chattanooga is going to make their adjustments. It wasn't a lack of effort. We were able to play a game yesterday that we were able to rest a few minutes for the upperclassmen. It's not just the physical nature, it's the mental. Those last few minutes of the game yesterday drained them physically as well as mentally. It's hard to recover from that playing a team like UTC because you can't make mistakes against them, and you are going to pay for it when you do. They are so well prepared. They can beat you just about from anywhere."

Senior forward J'Lisia Ogburn
On the reflection of the season ... "This has been one of our best years since we have been here. I'm just proud of everybody, the three seniors, the sophomores, the juniors. I think if they keep fighting, they can do exactly what we did and probably do even better."

Senior guard Carolyn Whitney
On her senior year ... "This year has been one of our best years of college basketball as far as the chemistry of the team goes and pushing each other as much as we could push each other. Everything as a whole is so much better than it's ever been."
