On today's game ... "I thought that was the best defensive second half we've had all year and holding them (Elon) to only thirteen points. It wasn't pretty, but defensively, they only scored 38 points."

On Elon as an opponent ... "Elon is good, I mean, they beat us at our place. They beat Chattanooga. The top two seeds, they played good ball. They played well...they've given us some problems and issues."

On his team's effort ... ""I was pleased with our performance. I thought the effort was there for 40 minutes. I thought the toughness was there for 40 minutes. In order for us to win a championship, we are going to have to shoot the ball better from the arc. But, I'll take this effort I got today."

On being off until Sunday's semis ... "To be honest, I wouldn't mind playing tomorrow just to keep it going. We get to play in a big time arena and that's going to be exciting. We'll have to shift gears and prepare for App State and/or Furman. Both of those are different type teams. We'll enjoy this a little bit tonight. Starting tomorrow we'll start preparation."

About the game ... "I thought we played hard. I thought we played with a lot of effort. I thought we fought for 40 minutes. We just missed too many shots. We only had nine turnovers I thought we got after it defensively. Samford had to earn it.  I thought we rushed a lot of shots. They just didn't fall."
