SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Elon junior Tara McFadden has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 17-23.

McFadden finished the three-round UNCW Lady Seahawk Classic in third place with a final total of 225. The junior’s final round 73 tied for the best round of the day as she guided Elon to a fourth place team finish in the event.

The award is McFadden’s second of the spring as she won the first golfer of the week award on February 24.

Also considered this week were Chattanooga’s Christine Wolf, Western Carolina’s Josefine Sundh and Wofford’s Alex Rankin.
