KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the NABC Division I All-District teams for 2010, recognizing the nation's best collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by members of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 240 student-athletes from 24 districts are eligible for the State Farm Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind., during the NABC Convention and NCAA Final Four.
Southern Conference student-athletes made up the District 22 first and second teams. College of Charleston placed three members, Andrew Goudelock, Jeremy Simmons and Donavan Monroe on the first and second teams. Western Carolina had two student athletes named to the second team in Jake Robinson and Brandon Giles.
The Southern Conference Player of the Year, Noah Dahlman was named to the first team, along with Appalachian State's Donald Sims, UNC Greensboro's Ben Stywall and The Citadel's Cameron Wells. Furman's Amu Saaka garnered second team plaudits from the NABC.
