SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Davidson wrestler Alex Radsky has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for March 10.
The junior from Worthington, Ohio, is majoring in political science and has a 3.284 GPA.
Radsky became Davidson's first individual Southern Conference wrestling champion since 1969 when Kerry Keith won at 191 pounds. Wrestling at 133 pounds Saturday Radsky earned a 3-2 decision against top-seeded Josh Statum of Chattanooga.
He is also the Wildcats' first representative at the NCAA Wrestling Championships since 1999 when Ian Kaplan received an at-large bid.
Radsky has won 10 consecutive matches and 14 of his last 15. He has posted a career-best 17-4 record, and his winning percentage of .810 is the third-highest all-time at Davidson.
Also nominated this week was Chattanooga men's golfer Stephan Jaeger.
