SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Midway through the Southern Conference indoor track & field season, Western Carolina leads in both the men's and women's power rankings. The rankings are determined by the top eight times or scores that are reported by the schools for each event that will be conducted at this month's championships.  

The Catamount men have 214 points and are followed by Appalachian State with 198 points.

On the women's side, Western Carolina has 183 points and leads second-place Appalachian State by 17 points.

Davidson rounds out the top three on the men's side, while Elon is third for the women.
