Hill Honored as Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Samford junior forward Savannah Hill scored a career-high 27 points in the Bulldogs' victory last week and has been tabbed the Southern Conference women's basketball player of the week for all games February 16-22. This marks her second honor of the season.

The Elora, Tenn., native led Samford to a 53-42 win at Western Carolina Saturday.

Hill connected on 67 percent of her field goal attempts against the Catamounts. She was 12-of-18 from the floor and connected on her only three-point attempt of the game. Hill also pulled down six rebounds while tallying one assist and one steal.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday as they travel to Chattanooga for their final game of the regular season.
