GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman’s May 18 baseball game at South Carolina will be televised by SportSouth, it was announced yesterday.  First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. at Carolina Stadium.

Furman dropped both games to South Carolina last year, but he Paladins posted a 4-2 victory in Columbia in 2008 and have claimed five wins over the Gamecocks since 2001.

South Carolina owns a 102-54-2 series advantage over Furman since the two schools first clashed on the diamond in 1896.

Furman opens its 2010 campaign next Friday when it entertains Michigan State in a 4:00 p.m. game at Fluor Field.

The Paladins play USC at Fluor Field on March 16 at 7:00 p.m.
