SPARTANBURG, S.C. - VMI junior Matthew Brock has been named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for all competitions from December 8-14.

Brock picked up the first VMI major decision of the dual season against Gardner-Webb on Dec. 10, blanking the Bulldogs' Erin O'Dell, 9-0. Brock's decisive win stretched the Keydet lead to 16-7 while propelling VMI to a 22-15 dual victory.

Brock improved to 7-4 overall on the year, and the junior is 2-0 in dual matches this season after earning a win over Franklin & Marshall's Matt Fullowan in the opening dual of the season on Dec. 4.
