ELON, N.C. - Southern Conference Player of the Year Chris Thomas garnered another honor this week, earning honorable mention accolades on TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's Team of the Season. The Elon forward was the lone player from the SoCon to be recognized.

Thomas finished with 10 goals on the season, ranking second in the conference. The sophomore forward matched his total from his rookie season when he garnered league freshman of the year honors. Thomas racked up three game-winning goals and had a stretch in September when he netted scores in five consecutive games. The striker knocked in the lone goal in Elon's first-ever victory against Old Dominion and notched the game-tying goals in a 2-2 tie with Coastal Carolina and 1-1 draw against Jacksonville.

Thomas earned all-conference honors for the second straight year, this season being named to the first team. For his career, the Snellville, Ga., native has tallied 20 goals and 43 points. He is just one goal and six points shy of breaking into Elon's top 10 in career goals and points.
