The Citadel?s Levermann Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel freshman forward Nicole Levermann has been chosen as the Southern Conference women's soccer player of the week for all matches from October 11-17.

Levermann led the Bulldogs to another pair of SoCon wins last week by contributing three goals and an assist. The freshman assisted on Mariana Garcia's game-winning tally in the second half of a 2-1 win over Georgia Southern on Thursday. She then followed that with a hat trick as the Bulldogs recorded their first ever win over Davidson, 3-1, on Sunday.

With 14 points on the season, Levermann is currently tied for ninth in the Southern Conference in points.

Other Nominees: Alyssa Whitehead (Samford), Cat Barnekow (UNCG), Kara Buono (Appalachian State), Allison Drutchas (Davidson), Catherine Brinkman (Elon), Sara Oland (Georgia Southern), Caitlin Williams (Western Carolina) and Anne Phillips (Wofford).
