SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Nine of the eleven Southern Conference women's basketball teams tipoff the 2010-11 college basketball season November 12.  The league's complete composite schedule is now available at www.soconsports.com and will conclude with the 2011 Southern Conference Tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Southern Conference teams are scheduled to make at least five appearances on regional television during the season, including the 2011 Southern Conference semifinals and final, which will be broadcasted by SportSouth March 6-7. 

Monday, November 29 marks the start of conference play as Appalachian State hosts Elon, Furman welcomes College of Charleston and Samford visits Western Carolina.  Georgia Southern and Wofford will open conference play December 1, as the two school face-off in Spartanburg.  Chattanooga will open its season on SportSouth as the Lady Mocs host Georgia Southern December 4.  UNCG is slated to open conference play December 18 at home against Wofford, while Davidson will wait until December 20 to play its first conference game when the Wildcats travel to Elon.

All 23 men's and women's teams will take part in the annual SoCon tournament, the longest-running conference tournament in the nation.  The site of the tournament will be at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn., March 3-7.
