SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Furman sophomore Martha Hall has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for all games played September 1-7.  Hall scored four goals in two games to help the Paladins claim wins over Jacksonville (2-1) and North Florida (3-1) last week.  She becomes the second Paladin to take home the weekly award after teammate Alexa Jones was honored last week.

Hall recorded the game-winning goal in both matches last week.  Her third goal of the season gave Furman a 2-0 lead over Jacksonville before the Dolphins closed the margin midway through the second half.  Against North Florida, Hall tallied a hat trick, scoring all three goals for the Paladins. 

Hall leads the conference with six goals.  She also ranks second in the league in points (12) and goals per game (1.50 gpg).  Hall leads the league with three game-winning goals in four games this season. 

Furman (4-0) returns to action, Wednesday, September 9 when the Paladins visit UNC Asheville.  Furman will take part in the Carolina’s Cup this weekend squaring off against UNC Wilmington (Sept. 11) and Clemson (Sept. 13).
