BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Taylor Dunlap scored the game-winning goal in the 56th minute, just three minutes after Campbell tied the game, to defeat Campbell 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Campbell.
The Mountaineers grabbed the early lead just six minutes into the match when Meggie Graham scored an unassisted goal.
Campbell tied the score in the 52nd minute when Olga Ekblom scored off an assist from Ashley Wagner.
Appalachian struck right back when Dunlap scored scored with a shot from 25 yards out.
The Mountaineers were only able to manage five shots, but two found the back of the net. Graham led ASU with three shots while Ekblom had four of Campbell's 12 shots.
Caroline Clarke made four saves for her third win of the season while Jamie Panfil made two saves for the Camels.

Boiling Springs, N.C. ? The Citadel soccer team fell, 3-0, against Gardner-Webb Saturday afternoon in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Nicole Martinoli and Nikkita Persaud opened the first half with two shots for the Bulldogs but were unable to get on the board. Minutes later, the Runnin’ Bulldogs’ Megan Tremblay scored right over Whitney Nave’s head. The Bulldogs tighten up their defense ending the first half trailing, 1-0.
Gardner-Webb responded scoring their second goal about a minute into the second period. Amy Loughran recorded a shot for The Citadel while Martinoli, Persaud and Mares also tallied one shot each. With two minutes left in the game, the Runnin’ Bulldogs slipped in their last goal to take the win.
“The girls competed and worked the entire 90 minutes,” said head coach Bob Winch. “It was a tight game, shot wise but in effort to become more offensive, we moved some players around. The team did very well.” Martinoli describes her team’s efforts on the field. “Unfortunately, we reverted back to bad habits and couldn’t come together to attack as a team. All we can do is work on those faults and prepare for our next game against Charleston Southern on Wednesday.”
