SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Junior Charles McGoogan of Furman has been selected as the Southern Conference Men's Runner of the Week for his performance at the Elon Invitational Saturday, the league office announced today.

The communications major from Charlotte, N.C., took first place at the Elon Invitational Saturday. His time of 25:52 set a course record. The Furman men placed second overall, one point behind Elon.

The Paladins return to action Saturday at the Winthrop/Asics Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.
