GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Three more Furman football games will be televised this fall, bringing to five the number of broadcasts for the 2009 campaign, athletics director Dr. Gary Clark announced today.

Furman’s season opener against Presbyterian (Sept. 5) and road game against Western Carolina (Sept. 26) will be televised by WMYA “My 40” while the Paladins’ home clash against Appalachian State (Oct. 31) will be carried by Asheville ABC affiliate WLOS-TV.

It was previously announced that two Paladin games will be televised by SportSouth, including encouters against Elon (Oct. 3) and Wofford (Nov. 21).

Kickoff for the Furman-Presbyterian game is 5:00 p.m. while the Western Carolina contest is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.  The Furman-Appalachian State game is a noon start.

WMYA “My 40” serves the Greeenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and Asheville television markets.

The “Voice of the Paladins,” Chuck Hussion, will call the play-by-play action for the Presbyterian, Western Carolina, and Appalachian State games.

Kickoff times and any television plans for Furman games against Missouri (Sept. 19), Auburn (Nov. 7), and Georgia Southern (Nov. 14) have yet to be announced.
