BOONE, N.C. ? Tuesday’s scheduled baseball game between Appalachian State University and North Carolina A&T has been postponed due to inclement weather. A makeup date has not yet been determined.
Appalachian (4-3, 0-2 SoCon) returns to action this weekend at archrival Western Carolina. Game times for the Southern Conference series are set for 4 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Hennon Stadium in Cullowhee, N.C.
FURMAN-CLEMSON TO MEET IN BASEBALL TUESDAY
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman Paladins baseball team will take on the Clemson Tigers on Tuesday, Mar. 3 at 4:00 p.m. in a rescheduled game, it has been announced.
Tuesday’s contest at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium will take the place of the previously scheduled Apr. 7 game between the Paladins and Tigers.
Furman and Clemson will play a second time this season, on May 6 at at Fluor Field in downtown Greenville.
Tuesday’s game at Clemson will mark the Paladins’ first action since Feb. 24 when the Paladins claimed a 5-3 win over UNC Asheville. Furman had a four-game series against Ohio University canceled due to rain over the weekend.
Furman (3-2) will entertain Charlotte on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday’s Elon Baseball Game Cancelled
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Tuesday's scheduled Elon Phoenix baseball game at Triad rival High Point has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. At this time no make-up date has been announced. The Phoenix is scheduled to return to the diamond on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. as the Wake Forest Demon Deacons visit Latham Park.
