UNC Greensboro 4, Longwood 0

FARMVILLE, Va. ? UNC Greensboro raised its record to 6-2 on the season Thursday with a 4-0 win over Longwood in women’s tennis action.

The Spartans swept the three doubles matches and all three singles matches that were decided prior to weather moving into the area. Britney Cloer and Lucy Dougherty had easy wins in singles actions along with a forfeit victory for Jessica Eblen. Dougherty won by identical 6-0 scores over Eileen Sullivan to raise her record to 11-7 on the year. Cloer topped Nasim Moadab, 6-1 and 6-0.

The Spartans were winning the other three matches that were in progress when rain moved into the area and halted play for the day.

UNCG returns to action when it hosts College of Charleston on Saturday at 10 am.
