SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Wofford’s Noah Dahlman has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all games February 17-23 the league office announced Tuesday (Feb. 24).  Dahlman helped the Terriers pick up victories over Furman (85-82, OT) and Western Carolina (81-66).  He averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and connected on 62 percent of his field goal attempts (18-29) last week.  The player of the week is selected by a vote of the league’s basketball sports information directors.

Dahlman led the Terriers in scoring both games, posting a career-high 25 points in Wofford’s overtime win at Furman Saturday afternoon.  He followed that performance with 20 points and seven rebounds against Western Carolina Monday night.  Dahlman has led the Terriers in scoring in each of his last six games.  He is the third-leading scorer in the conference (17.2 ppg) and leads the league in field goal percentage (.594).  Dahlman is 14^th in the league in rebounding (6.2 rpg), and leads the conference in offensive boards per game (3.2).

Wofford (14-12, 10-7 SoCon) has won five of its last six games and travels to Charleston, S.C., this week.  The Terriers take on College of Charleston Thursday night and face The Citadel Saturday.

Other top performers in the Southern Conference this week included Appalachian State’s Donald Sims, Chattanooga’s Kevin Goffney, The Citadel’s Demetrius Nelson, College of Charleston’s Andrew Goudelock, Davidson’s Andrew Lovedale, Elon’s Ola Atoyebi, Georgia Southern’s Ben Drayton III and Western Carolina’s Harouna Mutombo.
