Furman, Kenoyer Finish Second At Eat A Peach Collegiate
Macon, Ga. -- Stefanie Kenoyer (71-71=142) carded a final round 71 to finish in second place and help Furman (300-300=600) to a runner-up finish at the Eat A Peach Collegiate on Monday at the par-72 Idle Hour Country Club in Macon, Ga.
The junior from Lighthouse Point, Fla., notched two birdies on the back nine to take the lead in the clubhouse before settling for her second straight runner-up finish and third top three showing in three outings this season. Marta Silva Zamora (70-70=140) of Georgia claimed individual medallist honors while helping the ninth-ranked Bulldogs (298-301=599) to a one-stroke victory over Furman and Florida State (288-312=600). Coastal Carolina and Georgia State rounded out the top five.
Paladin freshman Alexa Rancourt (74-74=148) helped guide Furman to its third top-five finish of the season with her best career finish of fifth place. Junior Jackie Hilea (73-77=150) also earned a top 10 finish with a share of eighth place at six-over par 150.

UNCG shoots second round 299, sits 12th at Windy City Collegiate
GLENVIEW, Ill. ? UNC Greensboro’s women’s golf team shot a second round 299 as a team to finish the day at 605 after two rounds at the Windy City Collegiate Championship hosted by Northwestern University at The Glen View Club.
Purdue, the No. 1-ranked team in the nation in the GolfStat rankings, holds a commanding 18-shot lead entering Tuesday’s final round. The Boilermakers shot an unbelievable 279 in the morning, followed by a 285 in the afternoon for a total of 564, 18 shots ahead of Arizona and 19 better than New Mexico. UNCG is tied with Oklahoma for 12th place at 605.
Courtney Taylor and Sofia Aidemark were UNCG’s top individuals on Monday. Taylor, a freshman from Gastonia, N.C. shot even-par 72 in the morning to sit in early contention, but dropped off with a 78 in the second round. Aidemark, a senior from Laholm, Sweden, carded identical rounds of 75 on the day.
Maude-Aimee LeBlanc holds the individual lead after 36 holes at seven-under par 137. She has a four-shot lead over teammate Junthima Gulyanamitta and a five-shot lead over Min Yean Tan of Michigan and Notre Dame’s Annie Brophy.
Tuesday’s final round will get underway with tee times at 7:30 a.m. off of Nos. 1 and 10. UNCG players will begin in the 7:48 a.m. group off No. 10 tee.
