SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Tatum Jestila, a junior outside hitter for The Citadel volleyball team, has been honored as the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for October 14, as announced by the league office Wednesday.

The Scottsdale, Ariz., native has a 3.746 GPA and is majoring in health exercise and sports science.

Jestila posted double-doubles in both of the Bulldogs' matches last week. Against Georgia Southern, she recorded 11 kills and 10 digs, and went on to tally 15 kills and 15 digs in The Citadel's match versus Davidson. Jestila now has seven double-doubles on the season, including four in her last five matches. She also posted two service aces and an assist last week.

Other nominees included Davidson men's soccer player Charlie Reiter, UNC Greensboro women's soccer player Lauren Lopez and Samford football player Ty Levie.
