Elon Men Announce Fall Tennis Schedule

ELON, N.C. ? Elon University men’s tennis coach Michael Leonard has announced the 2008 Phoenix fall men’s tennis schedule, which begins next week when the team sends athletes to both the UNC Wilmington Invitational and the University of Virginia Invitational on Sept. 12-14.
 
“We are excited about the strong schedule we have put together for this fall,” Leonard said. “We will compete in several tournaments that will pit us against numerous teams that were ranked and played in the NCAA Championship last year. We have continued to strengthen our schedule and this year is no exception.”

Elon will send athletes to both the University of North Carolina Invitational and the University of Virginia’s One Rank, One Plus Tournament on Sept. 26-28. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American National Tournament will take place on Oct. 3-7 in Tulsa, Okla.

The Phoenix will host Campbell University, Longwood University and USC Upstate at the Elon Invitational on Oct. 10-11 before heading to the ITA Regional Tournament on Oct. 16-17 at the University of North Carolina
