Shannon Wommack (2001-2006) of Chattanooga was a five-time All-American who broke many Southern Conference and school records. Wommack holds four Southern Conference records, including the mile (indoor and outdoor track and field) and 3,000-meters (indoor and outdoor track and field). She also holds eight Chattanooga records with four coming indoors and four outdoors.
Wommack was a 20-time Southern Conference Champion who earned nine Southern Conference Outstanding Performer honors. She was a two-time first team Academic All-American.
Wommack was named the 2006 Southern Conference Women’s Female Athlete of the Year. She was also named the 2001 Cross Country Freshmen of the Year.
Wommack competed in the NCAA Cross Country Championship three times with her highest finish coming in 2005 in which she placed 19th. She was also a three-time participant in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship where she received All-American honors in the 5,000-meters and 3,000-meter steeplechase.
She was awarded the 2005 Scrappy Moore Award, which is given to the top Chattanooga student-athlete that excels in athletics, academics and community service.

Rachel Evans (1995-98), Volleyball ? SoCon Freshmen of the Year in ’95; Player of the Year in ’97; Tournament MVP in ’97 and ’98; UTC all-time kills leader; Inducted into the UTC Hall of Fame.
Diana Jallo (2003-04), Soccer ? Two-time all conference; 2003 All Tournament Team; Two-Time SoCon Athlete of the Month; Four-time SoCon Player of the Week; Named All-Central region team by SoccerBuzz; UTC’s all-time leader in points and goals.
Beth Alexander (1999-02), Softball ? Two-time Pitcher of the Year; Freshmen of the Year; two-time all-confernece; nine-time pitcher of the week.
Anastasia Zhukova (2005-07), Tennis ? 2006 Player of the Year; 2007 Co-Player of the Year; ranked as high as 25th by ITA, which is the highest in UTC and SoCon history.
