SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Georgia Southern’s David Richardson was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.  A standout on Georgia Southern’s baseball team, Richardson has a 3.9-grade point average and is majoring in Exercise Science.

Richardson, a senior from Dahlonega, Ga., helped the Eagles to a 5-0 record for the week.  Richardson had a batting average of .615 with 16 hits, 10 RBI, scored nine runs and stole two bases last week.  Richard also posted a .846 slugging percentage and .643 on-base percentage.

Richardson had five multiple-hit games with a perfect five-for-five against North Florida on April 22.  Richardson added a four-hit game against Wofford on April 27 and tied his career-high in RBI with five.
