Georgia Southern’s Chris Shehan was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 17. The junior outfielder batted .619 (13-of-21) in five games. The Strasburg, Pa. native had three doubles and five home runs while driving in 10 and scoring 12 runs. Shehan hit two home runs in Saturday’s NCAA record-setting 14-homer game against Columbia in a 26-8 win.

Matt Crim became the third pitcher from The Citadel to earn Pitcher of the Week honors. The left-hander pitched 6.0 innings in a 5-4 win over Elon. The Summerville, S.C. native yielded seven hits, struck out five and did not walk a batter. He allowed two unearned runs.
