CofC Women's Golf Finishes 12th at LSU

Baton Rouge, La. - Steffi Kirchmayr fired a 73 in today's round to move up to a tie for eighth and lead the College of Charleston women's golf team to 12th at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic held Mar. 14-16 at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La.  Florida State shot an 884 to take the tournament title, six strokes ahead of host Louisiana State.  Charleston finished 54 holes with a 917 total, just three strokes off the top 10.

 

Kirchmayr finished the tournament with a three-day total of 222 for her tie at eighth.  Joann Klatten shot a par-72 today to jump to a tie for 11th with a 223.  Emily Rapp tied for 26th with a 227 and in 83rd was Fiona Puyo with a 247.  Courtney Brink rounded out the Cougar effort with a 249 for 87th.

 

The Cougars are next in action at the Bryan Park Intercollegiate Mar. 28-30 in Browns, Summitt, N.C.
