SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced today that Georgia Southern’s Emmanuel Nkoueleue is the men’s tennis player of the week.

Nkoueleue, a senior from Douala, Cameroon, went 2-0 singles action and 2-0 in doubles paly.  He defeated Presbyterian’s Matt Martin in No.1 singles 6-2, 6-1 and then beat Presbyterian’s Martin/Lee in No.1 doubles 8-3.   

Nkoueleue followed that impressive performance up with a win at No.1 singles against Florida Atlantic’s Oliver Sajour, 6-3, 6-3.  Nkoueleue and Malet defeated Abdelnour/Cadogan of Florida Atlantic in No.1 doubles 8-4.

Nkoueleue is 16-5 overall in singles and 12-5 in doubles.  He is 6-1 in both singles and doubles in duals.
