Davidson sophomore Stephen Curry was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for the week ending February 11.
Curry has earned or shared Played of the Week honors in each of the last three weeks and a total of four times this season.
Curry averaged 31.0 points and 7.0 rebounds with five assists and five steals and two blocked shots as Davidson downed Elon, 74-674, on Feb. 6 and College of Charleston, 81-55, on Feb. 9.
The guard tallied 36 points against Elon and added 26 against the College of Charleston.
The Charlotte, N.C. native ranks fifth nationally in scoring (25.0 ppg). For the week, Curry shots 19-of-35 (54.3 percent from the field), 9-of-17 (52.9 percent) from three-point range and was a perfect 15-of-15 from the free throw line.
Other standout performances were turned in by Georgia Southern’s Louis Graham, Elon’s Brett James, Appalachian State’s Donte Minter, Chattanooga’s Nicchaeus Doaks, UNC Greensboro’s Kyle Hines, The Citadel’s Cameron Wells and Wofford’s Shane Nichols.
