Elon's Parker Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Elon’s Aaron Parker has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 28-November 3.  Parker scored two goals and recorded an assist in victories over Furman (4-3) and Radford (1-0).

 

The senior forward posted a goal and an assist as Elon topped Furman, 4-3, to give the Phoenix an undefeated mark in conference play.  On Saturday, he scored the game-winning goal as Elon topped Radford, 1-0, in the regular-season finale.  Parker is tied for third place in the conference with 16 points on the season.  He is tied for the league lead with six assists.  Parker and the Phoenix finished conference play with mark of 7-0, earning the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament which begins Saturday (Nov. 7).

 

Other top performers this week were Appalachian State’s Juan Obregon, College of Charleston’s Matt Morris, Furman’s Patrick Murray and Georgia Southern’s Sean Sandoval.
