SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Sophomore forward Antonio Harley of Appalachian State has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of October 7.  Harley recorded two game-winning goals last week as the Mountaineers downed College of Charleston (3-0) and Wofford (2-1). 

Harley helped push the Mountaineers past College of Charleston, 3-0, scoring in the first half against the Cougars.  His second goal came in dramatic fashion as he tallied the golden goal in double overtime against Wofford to give ASU a 2-1 victory.  The Newport News, Va., native tallied four of his seven points on the season last week.  He is tied for eighth place in the league in points (7), and is sixth in goals (3).  Harley leads the conference with three game-winning goals this season.

Other top performers this week were College of Charleston’s Sean de Silva, Davidson’s Matt McElroy, Elon’s Justin Wyatt, Furman’s Coleton Henning, and Wofford’s Nick Schuermann.
