SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Chattanooga cross country runner Sabrina Lefort has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Lefort, a senior health and human performance major with a 3.675 GPA, finished in third place at the Front Runner Invitational. She ran the two-mile course in 11:21, which helped the Lady Mocs to a first-place team finish.
Also nominated this week were Western Carolina volleyball player Katie Hennessey, UNC Greensboro women’s soccer player Mary Kate Towne, Davidson women’s soccer player Callan Elswick, Appalachian State volleyball player Caroline Sedon, Georgia Southern football player Adrian Mora and Samford volleyball player Hillary Fountain.
