SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced today that Chattanooga’s Cody Cleveland has been named the Wrestler of the Week.

Cleveland, a sophomore from Tullahoma, Tenn., placed fourth at the Midlands Championships which featured seven in the top 20.  Cleveland wrestled 10 matches over the weekend and finished with an 8-2 record.  Cleveland wrestled his way back into the medal rounds by winning seven of his last eight matches.  He recorded two tech falls, two major decisions and a pin against eighth-seeded Corey Jantzen of Harvard.    

Cleveland is ranked No.16 at 141- pound weight class. His finish helped the Chattanooga, No. 10 in the polls, take seventh place in the team standings.
