SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? UNC Greensboro’s Jasmine Dixon was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week.  A standout on UNC Greensboro’s women’s basketball team, Dixon graduated in May with a 4.0 majoring in communications and African-American studies.

She currently has a 3.85 grade point average in her graduate courses.  This is the second time Dixon has earned student-athlete of the week recognition.

Dixon, a senior from Reston, Va., averaged 12.5 points and seven rebounds in two games last week.  Dixon was 9-of-15 from the field for 60 percent and 7-of-15 from the charity stripe for 46 percent.  She scored double figures in scoring in both games with 13 points in a loss to Davidson and 12 in a win over Appalachian State.
