Furman’s Justin Dehm was named the Southern Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 31, it was announced today.
The freshman from Peoria, Ill., averaged 19.0 points while shooting 52.6 percent from the field in two games last week. Coming off the bench against Cal State Fullerton, the guard tallied 15 points by making two three-point goals and nine free throws.
Dehm helped lead the Paladins to a 67-62 victory over Howard at the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic. Breaking into the starting line-up, he scored 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and converted three free throws. He also dished out four assists against the Bison.
