Davidson's Bye-Nagel Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Davidson forward Kyri Bye-Nagel has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring goals in the Wildcats' victories over Vanderbilt and LSU.

 

A sophomore from Hanau, Germany, Bye-Nagel led the Wildcats (4-3-0, 0-0-0) to two of the program’s biggest wins over the weekend with two goals in victories over the pair from the Southeastern Conference. She netted the first goal in a 2-1 win over Vanderbilt Friday evening and followed that up with another score in Davidson’s 3-0 shutout of previously-unbeaten LSU on Sunday afternoon.

 

Other top performers from the week were Appalachian State goalkeeper Emma White, Furman forward Anna Betton, Georgia Southern midfielder Audrey Brown, UNC Greensboro goalkeeper Katherine Ryan, Western Carolina goalkeeper Caitlin Williams and Wofford midfielder Whitney Steelman.
