The Miracle Match Foundation announced that College of Charleston basketball coach Bobby Cremins will participate in the Legends of Tennis event featuring tennis greats Pete Sampras and Jim Courier on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 3:00 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.

A special celebrity doubles match will feature both Sampras and Courier paired with Cremins and Gov. Mark Sanford in an eight-game pro set. The feature match will be between Sampras and Courier (2-of-3 sets).

The North Charleston event will be the first of five events on a nationwide tour, collectively known as the Sampras vs. Courier Miracle Match Tour, all benefiting The Miracle Match Foundation.

The Miracle Match Foundation was established in January of 1997 by former tennis professional Bill Przybysz, following the diagnosis of his Acute Monocytic Leukemia (AML).  After a series of treatments, including a bone marrow transplant, Przybysz was determined to ensure that others coping with similar challenges would have a network of support and assistance.  

To build awareness, Pryzbysz developed the idea of “Miracle Matches”, and in February 1999, Przybysz played his first Miracle Match against John McEnroe.  Visit www.miraclematchfoundation.com for further details.
