UNCG's Lindborg SoCon Volleyball Player of Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? The Southern Conference announced that UNC Greensboro's Emily Lindborg has earned volleyball player of the week honors.

 

Lindborg, a sophomore from Niles, Michigan, helped the Spartans open a two-game winning streak with wins against Winston-Salem and Georgia Southern. 

 

The 6’1 middle blocker had 23 kills, 3 blocks, 1 digs and a hitting percentage of .541.  She set a new career high with 17 kills and had a hitting percentage of .536 against Georgia Southern in the Spartans' conference opener. Lindborg’s .536 hitting percentage is the best this season by any Spartan.  She is third on the team in kills with 128, leads the team in hitting percentage with.368 and second on the team with 35 blocks.

 

Other top performers include Leslee Ball of Chattanooga, Brittany Westphal of Elon, Meredith Harmon of Western Carolina, Nicole Palazzo of Furman and Joanna Suddath of Wofford.
