Offensive Player of the Week
Georgia Southern quarterback Jayson Foster (Canton, Ga.) was named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior set a school record by rushing for six touchdowns in Georgia Southern’s 42-34 victory at Coastal Carolina on Sept. 15. Foster, who rushed for 231 yards a week ago, rushed for a career-best 253 yards on 28 totes. He is only the second Eagle player to rush for 200 or more yards in back-to-back games.

Defensive Player of the Week
Appalachian State defensive tackle Anthony Williams (Concord, N.C.) earned Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors. Williams set a career-high with nine tackles in Appalachian State’s 34-21 victory over Northern Arizona on Sept. 15. The sophomore from Concord, N.C., registered two tackles-for-loss and logged one sack among his nine tackles.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Western Carolina place kicker Jonathan Parsons (Summerville, S.C.) was named Southern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. Parsons connected on three field goals at Georgia on Sept. 15. He booted field goals from distances of 29, 40 and 46 yards. His first field goal knotted the game with nationally-ranked Georgia, 3-3, in the first quarter. His other two field goals came in the second quarter. The No. 23-ranked Bulldogs topped the Catamounts, 45-16.

Freshman of the Week
Georgia Southern Zeke Rozier (Cochran, Ga.) was named Southern Conference Freshman of the Week. Rozier rushed for 48 yards on nine totes in Georgia Southern’s 42-34 triumph at Coastal Carolina. The freshman from Cochran, Ga., recorded a season-best 36-ayrd rush in the game as the Eagles improved to 2-0 on the season.
