SportSouth today released its 2007-08 Southern Conference basketball schedule, which includes 12 men’s games and five women’s games. Men’s basketball action on SportSouth tips off on Saturday, December 1 at 3 p.m. ET when the Appalachian State Mountaineers visit the Georgia Southern Eagles. Chattanooga hosts Elon on Saturday, January 12 at 12:30 p.m. ET to open the women’s schedule.

The men’s schedule includes ten regular-season match-ups and both semifinal pairings from the 2008 Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament in North Charleston, SC. All 11 conference schools are represented in the schedule, including Davidson. The Davidson Wildcats are coming off of their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and tabbed as the 18th best team in the nation by Lindy’s College Basketball 2007-08 Preview.
SportSouth will televise three games from the 2008 Southern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament also in North Charleston, SC, both of the semifinal games and the final. In addition, SportSouth will televise two regular-season pairings, the first of which features the two-time defending conference tournament champion Chattanooga Mocs.
